A Flagstaff Family Retreat
Tim and Marci worked with KIBO Group Architecture and the Rocky Mountain Log Home custom design team to develop a home for their extended family to enjoy. This 6,000 square feet home takes advantage of their view and desire to have large family gatherings. Ponderosa Construction was the General Contractor, leading the build team with a commitment to quality. Photography is by Matt Bredatsky of Virtual Videography in Flagstaff. We all enjoyed working together in the sun and snow.
Open Floor Plan Allows Activity The great room, dining room and kitchen are open to the views over the golf course and allow the family to enjoy each other in a variety of activities. Marci's informal decorating takes advantage of the casual warmth of the logs.
Designed with Function There are 4 fireplaces to allow the family smaller, personal areas to catch up with each other's lives. The log staircase leads upstairs to the children's bunkrooms and activity area. 12" hand peeled logs were used with stone and unedged boards to create an elegant, rustic atmosphere.
A Large Kitchen A large kitchen allows room to prepare meals for family gatherings without being excluded from the conversation and views.
Quality Throughout A variety of finishes adds the final warmth to a log home. Each feature is designed for the owner's unique needs.
Room to Play The rear entrance allows children and golfers to return inside through the mud room. A separate guest garage forms an area for basketball that is visible from the kitchen; a perfect place to begin exploring the forest and watching wildlife.
Time to Relax Time to relax outdoors with large covered decks that include a barbeque, spa and large open fire pit. Conversations and thoughts just flow as friends and family relax together.
